Tilmann Apitzsch Joins Management at CargoBeamer

CargoBeamer, a provider in the field of rail transport for non-craneable semi-trailers, has appointed Tilman Apitzsch as Managing Director of CargoBeamer Intermodal Operations GmbH, effective immediately. In this role, Apitzsch will lead the newly created Business Solutions division, where he will oversee the strategic planning to enhance long-term commercial and operational excellence.

(Leipzig) Tilman Apitzsch is responsible for the areas of Commercial Strategy, Business Steering, and Business Excellence. He reports directly to Chief Operating Officer Boris Timm and joins the management team of CargoBeamer Intermodal Operations GmbH alongside Tim Krasowka and Alexander Kornblum.

Apitzsch is transitioning from the Boston Consulting Group to CargoBeamer, where he worked for several years as a Principal in the fields of Transport, Aviation, and Infrastructure. With over ten years of experience in strategic consulting, he possesses extensive knowledge of the rail and air transport industries. Apitzsch, who holds an M.Sc. in Management and Mobility, has managed significant projects for leading companies in the transport sector. He will leverage this expertise at CargoBeamer to elevate the offerings of the intermodal service provider to the next level.
