Fraport Announces Cargo Hall in CargoCity South
Oct 18, 2024 at 7:25 PMThe Austrian intralogistics provider TGW Logistics has successfully completed the fiscal year 2023/2024 (July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024). The revenue of the internationally active technology company – which plans, builds, and operates highly automated logistics centers – climbed to over one billion euros, with EBIT rising to 29.6 million euros.
(Marchtrenk) “Our revenue has grown by twelve percent and has, for the first time in our 55-year history, surpassed the billion mark. We were able to turn the result (EBIT) from a slightly negative value in the previous year to a significant plus of around 30 million euros,” emphasizes Henry Puhl, Chief Executive Officer of TGW Logistics. “Given the economic conditions, many companies are still hesitant to invest in their intralogistics. However, our forecasts indicate that the market is expected to rebound in 2025 – we are convinced of the potential and future viability of the industry.”
54 Million for Research & Development

Compared to the previous year, TGW Logistics increased its budget for research and development by 13 percent to over 54 million euros: this corresponds to five percent of revenue. The focus is particularly on robotics, artificial intelligence, and digitization. In spring 2024, an innovative picking robot named RovoFlex celebrated its world premiere, which has the potential to revolutionize the industry. Thanks to insights from artificial intelligence and cognitive robotics, it operates completely autonomously without human intervention.
Medium-sized companies as well as well-known global players rely on the intralogistics expertise of TGW Logistics: from Kärcher and Intersport to Mango and Puma, and even Zalando.
“We all regularly order online, shop in brick-and-mortar stores, or go to the supermarket. What few are aware of while shopping is that for online orders to arrive quickly and stores to be reliably stocked, a powerful intralogistics system is the indispensable key,” emphasizes Henry Puhl. “Technology made in Upper Austria ensures that companies can deliver to their customers around the world quickly and reliably.”
Investment in New Headquarters
TGW Logistics is also continuing to invest in its infrastructure. On September 25, the official groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of the expansion of the headquarters in Marchtrenk. By summer 2026, the technology company will invest up to 100 million euros in a 25,000 m² production hall and a highly automated storage system – as a foundation for tomorrow’s growth.
