DHL Parcel Increases Prices for Business Customers

DHL Parcel is increasing prices for its business customers. The price adjustment will be implemented in waves starting from October 1, 2024, depending on the customer group. Business customers will be individually informed about the new prices applicable to them. This year, special attention will also be paid to payment terms.

(Bonn) The price increase is necessary due to significantly rising personnel costs starting in April 2024, as well as due to investments in the continuous expansion of the logistics network. Furthermore, DHL continues to invest consistently in sustainable infrastructure and the decarbonization of its own network, for example, by operating buildings CO₂-free and increasingly electrifying the delivery fleet.

On January 1, 2025, the federal government also plans to increase the CO₂ price. Therefore, DHL will also adjust the toll and CO₂ surcharge for its business customers starting next year; all customers will be individually informed about this as well.

From Goods Post to ‘DHL Small Package’

There are also changes in the product portfolio for business customers: The national goods post will become the ‘DHL Small Package’ starting January 1, 2025. The scope of services will be expanded by increasing the maximum shipment height from 5 cm to 8 cm. New is also the liability up to 20 euros in goods value per shipment.

The price increases apply to the national and international DHL parcel shipping for business customers and do not affect the DHL Express business or the DHL parcel shipping by private customers (price increase will be communicated later).
