Eurotranspharma Germany, a leading specialist in pharmaceutical logistics, has received the prestigious GDP certification (Good Distribution Practice). This award confirms compliance with the highest quality standards in the transport and handling of pharmaceuticals.
(Rüsselsheim) DQS (German Society for the Certification of Management Systems) has audited Eurotranspharma Germany according to the strict criteria of the “Guidelines on Good Distribution Practice of medicinal products for human use” (2013/C 343/01). The scope includes the transport and handling of pharmaceutical products in the temperature ranges of 15 to 25°C and 2 to 8°C.
Steffen Segelke, Managing Director Germany at Eurotranspharma Germany, emphasizes: “This certification underscores our commitment to quality and safety in pharmaceutical distribution. It is the result of the intensive work of our entire team since the founding of Eurotranspharma Germany in September 2023.”
Delivery of Pharmaceutical Products with State-of-the-Art Technology
The audit particularly highlighted Eurotranspharma’s innovative equipment. The company consistently relies on bi-thermo vehicles that enable delivery in two different temperature zones within a single vehicle. “This concept is unique in the German market and an important step towards greater sustainability and efficiency in pharmaceutical logistics,” explains Segelke.
The management system, which was established in a very short time, also received special praise. It reflects the comprehensive pharmaceutical-specific expertise that Eurotranspharma has prioritized from the very beginning in its personnel strategy, according to Andreas Völkerding from DQS.
All Activities at the Highest Level
The GDP certification confirms that Eurotranspharma Germany conducts all activities related to the distribution of pharmaceuticals at the highest level. It is an important milestone for the company and strengthens its position as a reliable partner for manufacturers, wholesalers, hospitals, laboratories, and pharmacies in Germany.
