Aug 22, 2024 at 4:32 PMA training that is newly structured, modern, and varied: The profession of logistics specialist is more digital than ever today – and thus at the forefront of time. Together with the training partners “Die Post” and “login Berufsbildung”, SWISS LOGISTICS by ASFL SVBL has fundamentally revised the professions of vocational basic education for logistics specialists.
(Rupperswil) The new educational regulation (BiVo) 2024 for the logistics profession will come into effect after the summer holidays in 2024 and marks the beginning of an exciting training period for logistics learners. They can look forward to the use of the latest technologies.
The new logistics profession includes the following professions under the umbrella of the Organization of the Working World (OdA) Logistics:
- Logistics specialist with federal vocational certificate (EBA)
- Logistics specialist with federal diploma (EFZ)
- Specialization in warehousing
- Specialization in distribution
- Specialist in rail transport with federal diploma (EFZ) – new from 2024
Coordination and cooperation between the three learning locations: training company, vocational school
An important prerequisite for the success of vocational basic education is the coordination and cooperation between the three learning locations: training company, vocational school, and inter-company courses. Learners should be supported throughout their training to relate theory and practice. A central role is played by the learning location cooperation (LOK) to jointly convey the action competencies.
Completely new working and learning situation
The Organization of the Working World (OdA) is increasingly focusing on digitalization. Through the introduction of a new warehouse management system, modern hardware, and the principle of “Bring Your Own Device”, logistics learners experience a completely new working and learning situation.
Learners in the warehousing specialization will also become familiar with additional technologies and devices. During two inter-company course days, learners will be introduced to the additional module category side loader R3 or telescopic loader R4. Another highlight is the use of virtual reality glasses (VR), with which the safety inspection of the shelving systems is trained.
Virtual company EnterSite
EnterSite is a virtual company where learners can navigate and access various documents. This platform accompanies learners in their training as logistics specialists EBA and EFZ and aims to link theory and practice. EnterSite reduces the complexity of core processes in the supply chain area didactically and offers a modern methodology aligned with the curriculum 21. These modules can be flexibly used either on-site or in a “blended learning” format to provide learners with an optimal combination of in-person and online learning.
