Covering peak loads, testing new markets with their own goods, or storing goods in top warehouse locations as a small company: The start-up Warespace makes this possible online in just a few steps. The website Palletspace, launched on August 15, offers a premiere in warehouse management with a service that has already existed online for the accommodation of hotel guests for some time.
(Paderborn) In addition to the storage spaces in the “pallet hotel,” the start-up from the Cargo Digital World (CDW) cosmos also organizes inbound and outbound traffic for standardized goods. Initially, companies looking for pallet storage spaces can access the capacities of more than four dozen warehouse locations in Germany at www.palletspace.de. This number will quickly grow in the Federal Republic, and soon additional countries across Europe will be added through Warespace’s international network. This allows companies to store smaller quantities tailored to their projects, even if they do not want or can commit to a contract logistics provider for the long term due to the constantly volatile success chances of such an endeavor.
“The go-live marks a new era for the uncomplicated booking of pallet storage spaces. Thanks to immediate access to the inventories of our logistics partners, users of Palletspace can secure urgently needed capacities during peaks or when entering a new sales area on a trial basis,” emphasizes Jonas Tritschallek, founder and managing director of Warespace, highlighting the unique feature of the innovative solution. “The also possible reservation – including the immediate receipt of a valid transport price – for truck transports to or from the warehouses rounds off the logistical complete package for palletized goods.”
IT interface to WMS systems is eliminated
Palletspace customers always receive a live overview of their respective goods (total) inventory, thanks to Warespace, despite the goods being distributed across various locations. Especially for smaller shippers, the often complicated independent IT interface to the warehouse management systems of the logistics providers is eliminated due to the Palletspace booking platform.
