Hyster has launched new forklifts with integrated lithium-ion batteries. Their robust performance is comparable to that of a combustion engine forklift. The Hyster® J2.0-3.5XTLG series can lift up to 3.5 tons. It is a durable, flexible, and emission-free solution for both indoor and outdoor use.
(Frankfurt) “Many industrial companies want to reduce their emissions and replace combustion engines with electric fleets. However, this must be cost-effective while ensuring high performance and productivity,” says Fraser Brash, Product Manager at Hyster. “The new Hyster forklifts are an emission-free alternative with proven robustness at competitive prices.”
The new design includes features such as up to 34 percent better visibility through the mast, a spacious and weatherproof cabin, large superelastic tires, and high ground clearance. This allows forklift operators to work productively even on uneven surfaces and in challenging weather conditions. The new electric forklift models are suitable for use in industrial warehouses as well as for logistics applications outdoors, on yards, and loading areas in the wood, metal, chemical, or construction industries.
The lithium-ion battery also offers productivity advantages. Charging the forklifts during breaks can maximize shift operating time. The battery itself is maintenance-free. Additionally, the elimination of engine maintenance and battery changes means no valuable operating time is lost.
Compared to lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion batteries can charge more efficiently. Users can receive more power without additional costs. Compared to models with combustion engines, energy costs can typically be halved with the new Hyster models. With long battery life and a five-year warranty included, the forklifts provide added value.
Customers can choose between models with 154-V or 115-V batteries, allowing them to tailor energy consumption to operational intensity. For longer run times and less downtime, the battery capacity of the Hyster J2.0-3.5XTLG models is standardly larger than that of many competing products.
