Jul 27, 2024 at 11:05 AMBosch Secure Truck Parking (BSTP) is driving the digitalization of the transport and logistics industry and now offers an easy way to integrate into existing fleet management systems, providing access to over 400 parking areas. This allows for more reliable route planning.
(Frankfurt) “Our booking engine can be directly integrated using Bosch L.OS, the Logistics Operating System, enabling seamless application of our booking solution within the fleet management systems already used by a company,” explains Dr. Jan-Philipp Weers, Director of Bosch Secure Truck Parking. With this, BSTP takes another step towards automation. “With the integration capability, our services can be used without switching between different systems, thus forming part of the fleet ecosystem,” adds Paul Riffel, Senior Sales Manager, Bosch Secure Truck Parking.
Direct integration and planning security
Dispatchers and drivers gain system-inherent access to over 400 parking areas of Bosch Secure Truck Parking across Europe with the integration of the booking engine and can book them live. With just a few clicks, a truck parking space along the route can be reserved during route planning or spontaneously. The seamless integration with real-time availability of parking spaces ensures maximum flexibility and relieves the driving personnel and dispatching. The lack of secure truck parking spaces presents new challenges to the industry every day. The parking areas of Bosch Secure Truck Parking, the largest truck parking platform in Europe, offer maximum protection against theft and vandalism. This is ensured by security measures such as access control, camera surveillance, and security fencing. Access to secure parking spaces allows truck drivers to comply with legally mandated driving and rest times in a protected environment for themselves and the cargo.
LIS Logistics Information Systems relies on the solution
As one of the first cooperation partners, LIS Logistische Informationssysteme GmbH integrates the solution from BSTP via Bosch L.OS into its Transport Management System (TMS) WinSped. “Thanks to the seamless integration of the booking solution from Bosch Secure Truck Parking into our TMS WinSped, our users now have the opportunity to reliably plan their routes including breaks,” says Magnus Wagner, Co-CEO of LIS. Other benefits for users of BSTP include reduced parking search traffic and the associated savings in fuel and personnel costs.
