(Nuremberg) The hesitant upward trend of the German economy is stagnating. Accordingly, there is also no further upswing in the topic of “sustainability” in the Bavarian transport and logistics sector. The willingness to pay for sustainable logistics services continues to decline compared to the previous month. Customers have made a noticeable shift in priorities towards economic efficiency.
Bureaucracy and High Costs Hinder Growth
Bureaucracy and high costs continue to burden the industry and hinder growth. Accordingly, the capacity for seemingly dispensable additional expenses in the context of “sustainability” appears to be severely limited. Currently, no significant change in the situation is expected for the summer months.

The expert survey of the Bavarian transport and logistics sector monthly assesses opinions on the importance of and the willingness to pay for the topic of sustainability. The index values range from minus 100 to plus 100 points.
