Start-up Warespace Reviews the First 100 Days
Jul 11, 2024 at 7:55 PMUTA Edenred, one of the leading mobility service providers in Europe and part of the Edenred Group, is continuously expanding its HVO100 station network. Currently, the UTA acceptance network in Germany includes around 120 stations offering HVO fuels. The pure fuel HVO100, which has been approved for sale in Germany since the end of May, is currently available at 63 stations in Germany with the UTA card.
(Kleinostheim) UTA Edenred also offers comprehensive supply of HVO100 for internationally operating trucks. HVO100 is now available at over 1,000 gas stations in 14 countries across Europe within the UTA acceptance network. This includes not only Germany but also Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Italy, Spain, Lithuania, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
As part of its offering of alternative fuels, UTA Edenred has made the diesel alternative HVO100 and HVO blends available in its network for some time now.
“We pursue a technology-open approach and want to provide our customers with the fuel they need for their requirements,” says Lukas Schneider, Commercial Director EMEA at UTA Edenred. “In addition to conventional fuels, this also includes alternative fuels such as LNG, CNG, biodiesel, and HVO, as well as of course the option to charge electric vehicles. With this wide range of offerings, we support our customers as best as possible in their transition towards climate-friendly mobility.”
Effective Lever for Fleet Operators
With the diesel alternative HVO100, fleet operators have an effective lever to improve the climate balance of their fleet. The fuel, made from industrial and agricultural fat and oil residues, can be mixed with conventional diesel in varying concentrations. In its pure form, HVO100 allows for a CO2 reduction of up to 90 percent over the lifecycle of the fuel compared to fossil diesel. HVO100 can generally be refueled instead of diesel, and no technical modification of the vehicles is necessary. Before use in the vehicle, approval from the vehicle manufacturer should be checked.
