Combined Transport Reports a Decline in Freight Volume in 2023
Jun 20, 2024 at 7:40 PMJust three years after its establishment, TOPREGAL GmbH celebrated another groundbreaking ceremony on June 20 under perfect weather conditions and with numerous visitors in the Berlin-Stettin industrial park in Pasewalk. On an adjacent area of 30,000 square meters, two new halls of 5,000 square meters each will be built within the next year, which are expected to be ready for occupancy by the second half of 2025.
(Filderstadt/Pasewalk) With the expansion, TOPREGAL significantly increases its production capacity and creates at least 20 new jobs. As with the first four halls, TOPREGAL is collaborating with the company Goldbeck. “We are very pleased to expand our location in Pasewalk to a total of six halls. With the additional space, we can meet the high demand for our solar carport and other products from the SoloPort brand,” says Jürgen Effner, Managing Director of TOPREGAL GmbH.
The company from Filderstadt, specializing in storage equipment and operational technology, opened its doors in Pasewalk just one year after the first groundbreaking in 2021. In May 2023, the launch of the specially developed solar carport, which is manufactured in Pasewalk, took place. Further innovations from the SoloPort brand, such as solar parking canopies, followed and are continuously being developed. With the additional space, the production and storage location will grow to a total of 82,000 square meters.
In addition to rapid growth, the family-owned company is characterized by sustainability measures. Therefore, TOPREGAL is not only expanding but also upgrading energetically.
Photovoltaics on the Roofs
As already implemented in Hall One, the three existing halls as well as the two new roof areas will now be equipped with photovoltaic systems. In total, the six halls will then generate 3.4 megawatts peak power. A portion of the generated energy is used by TOPREGAL for its own consumption, flowing directly into production. However, the largest share will be fed into the grid to supply the region. “A household with four people consumes an average of 3,000 kWh per year,” explains Effner. “With the electricity from the six halls, we can supply over 1,000 households per year and thus contribute to the energy transition.”
