Jun 20, 2024 at 7:24 PMOn July 1, Markus Panhauser will become the new CEO of DHL Global Forwarding in Germany and Switzerland. In his new role, he will take responsibility for both country organizations. Panhauser succeeds Tobias Schmidt, who has successfully led the two country organizations in addition to his role as CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Europe since November 2021. A successor for Markus Panhauser as Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Europe has already been found in Barbara Eleota.

With his extensive experience and commitment, he has significantly contributed to the success of DHL Global Forwarding in Germany and Switzerland and is now handing over two very successful country organizations to his successor.”
Successful Development and Implementation
Markus Panhauser joined the company in 2020 as Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Forwarding Europe after gaining extensive experience in the forwarding business at various global logistics companies. Over the past three years, he has successfully elevated the European sea freight business of the division to a high performance level, making a significant contribution to increasing profitability.

Diverse Perspective and Extensive Expertise
Barbara Eleota will succeed Markus Panhauser as Head of Ocean Freight DHL Global Forwarding Europe on August 1, 2024. Eleota is moving from DB Schenker to DHL Group and brings over 25 years of experience in the logistics industry to her new role. Throughout her career, she has been particularly successful in Trade Management with a focus on North America and as Country Ocean Freight Manager in Italy. Eleota will have her office in Hamburg and will report directly to Tobias Schmidt and Casper Ellerbaek, Global Head of Ocean Freight at DHL Global Forwarding.
