Nearly 300 members, partners, and leading representatives of finished vehicle logistics (FVL) came together to participate in the annual general meeting and spring conference. This marked a new record for the event.
(Brussels/Baveno) The congress showcased an unprecedented willingness to collaborate in key areas such as standardized reporting on CO2 emissions, technological development, and operational efficiency. Auto1, Ford, the Renault Group, Toyota Motor Europe, and Volkswagen Group Logistics participated in the event to work together on forward-looking solutions.
Wolfgang Göbel, President of ECG, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “The willingness for cross-industry cooperation in areas that will bring efficiency and improvements for all is clearer than ever before. This bodes extremely well for the future of our sector.”
Another highlight of the general meeting was the election of a new board and a new vice president. Mark Hindley from BCA Automotive was elected as the new vice president and is expected to play a key role in steering the organization towards its strategic goals.
Membership Numbers Increased by 30%
The ECG is facing unprecedented growth, with membership numbers increasing by 30 percent in the past year alone. As the leading voice of the FVL sector, the ECG supports initiatives that promote collaboration, standardization, and improved efficiency, while the automotive sector continues to undergo rapid changes and developments.
