Logivest Opens New Branch in Erfurt
Apr 9, 2024 at 8:02 PMLIP Invest, provider of real estate special funds for institutional investors in the asset class of logistics properties in Germany, has commissioned another solar plant in collaboration with its sister company AvanLog Solar. The PV system on the roof of the LIP logistics property in Reutlingen reliably generates green electricity with a maximum output of 746.2 kilowatt peak.
(Munich/Reutlingen) AvanLog Solar, a full-service developer for photovoltaic systems on the roofs of industrial and logistics properties, has installed a total of 1,820 solar modules for LIP. With an annual yield of 732,455 kilowatt-hours, the plant produces approximately as much electricity as 293 private households would consume over the course of a year. Additionally, around 340 tons of climate-damaging CO2 emissions can be avoided through environmentally friendly electricity generation.
Since commissioning, the user of the logistics property has been sourcing solar power. The freight forwarder Brucker is handling an order for Bosch here. The logistics service provider operates, among other things, an automated car wash and electric industrial vehicles that can be directly powered from the roof thanks to a so-called Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
“The installed photovoltaic system can cover 40 percent of our tenant’s energy needs. We focus on these self-consumption systems in all our PV expansion projects to provide our tenants with the greatest possible added value. We can offer them solar power at fixed and lower rates, while tenants can simultaneously save on grid fees,” said Bodo Hollung, partner and managing director.
Solar Projects on 150,000 m2 of Roof Area
LIP’s sister company AvanLog Solar was founded in 2021. The full-service developer is available as a competent partner to all owners of logistics or commercial properties. So far, AvanLog Solar has realized eight projects with a capacity of 14.26 megawatt peak on 150,000 square meters of roof area. Another 14 projects are currently under construction.
