Mar 26, 2024 at 4:09 PMFor over 50 years, nox has supported the agricultural industry and its customers during the harvest season with the Weekend Service. With this special service, all parts ordered from the manufacturer by early evening will reach their recipients by the following night until the end of the season in late October – regardless of whether they are small parts like screws and filters or compact engine blocks.
(Langenfeld) nox is making the start of the Weekend Service for the agricultural industry this year dependent on weather conditions. “Currently, no one can predict whether the forage harvest will start as usual in early May or two weeks earlier,” explains Eduard Siegle, Head of Key Account Management at nox. “At the same time, we also know that every day counts for farmers during the harvest season. Therefore, we are acting even more flexibly this year than in previous years.”
For many farmers – and thus also for the manufacturers of agricultural machinery – this service is extremely important. Therefore, nox has not only prepared for the smooth start of this year’s Weekend Service in recent months but has also been able to recruit additional employees for the customers in this sector, including Jakob Kling and Christoph Ottl. “I am glad for the support of both colleagues,” says Eduard Siegle. “Jakob Kling is our expert in the Agriculture OEM area and will support us here, while Christoph Ottl will bring his expertise in operations to our team. He has been with nox for many years and knows our services and offerings very well.”
Delivery Before the First Rooster Crows
The eagerly awaited shipments will be delivered before 8:00 AM the next day. Thanks to low traffic during the night hours and a sophisticated network, even international shipments reach their recipients – depending on the destination and pickup time – before 8:00 AM.
Pickup is also offered from a regional pickup warehouse, from which farmers are then supplied through direct trips. Delivery is contactless to pre-defined, locked drop-off locations or goods sluices. If desired, the parts can also be delivered directly to the field. Shipments are scanned at each handover within the supply chain, so the current shipment status is always retrievable. Recipients receive security regarding where and in what condition the spare parts were delivered through the transmission of GPS data as well as photographic evidence.
