Interim Management in Business Relocations in High Demand
Mar 21, 2024 at 4:32 PMMany goods in global trade are transported by sea in uncooled standard containers. For temperature-sensitive goods that are shipped this way, temperature fluctuations can pose a risk to product quality. Therefore, the packaging specialist Ecocool GmbH from Bremerhaven has developed a special container insulation that protects temperature-sensitive cargo in standard containers.
(Bremerhaven) “Our solution is designed for the transport of products such as wine, beer, chemicals, and plastic products in non-actively temperature-controlled sea containers,” says Ecocool Managing Director Dr. Florian Siedenburg. “Because such and similar products cannot and will not always be transported in expensive reefer containers. With our insulation, we can ensure approximately 10 degrees Celsius lower internal temperatures compared to uninsulated containers.” This temperature stabilization is achieved by completely lining the container with Ecocool’s insulating material. “With our solution, logistics providers can optimally protect temperature-sensitive products in standard sea containers from temperature fluctuations. It provides effective protection against heat and cold ingress during sea transport.”
Available in various formats
The container insulation is available in the following formats: 20-foot or 40-foot dry cube containers with or without a floor, as well as 40-foot high cube containers with or without a floor. The container insulation is very space-saving when folded and is very easy to install. The insulating cover is first tied to the rear eyelets of the container with a fastening strap. Then, the upper guiding strap is threaded through the side eyelets. In the following step, the carabiner hooks sewn into the insulating cover are hooked into the guiding strap. Finally, the complete insulation is unfolded using the guiding strap.
