Feb 1, 2024 at 7:01 PMAs of January 1, 2024, Toyota Material Handling Germany (TMHDE) has strengthened its indirect sales channel with three new authorized dealers. A total of eighteen dealers with 34 locations and twelve own branches now form the nationwide Toyota sales and service network in Germany.
(Isernhagen) Effective at the turn of the year, the companies Mengel Gabelstapler GmbH from Garbsen, Trautmann Gabelstapler GmbH from Nümbrecht, and Ziegler Gabelstapler GmbH from Augsburg have intensified their collaboration with TMHDE and received the status of official authorized dealer. “All three companies have already established themselves as product partners of Toyota Material Handling for several months and are known in the materials handling industry as experienced and competent dealers,” says Günter Simonis, Head of Rental & Used Equipment and Responsible for Dealer Sales. “Thanks to the newly closed partnerships, we are making significant progress towards our goal of a comprehensive dealer network.”
The German marketing and sales company of the world market leader Toyota Material Handling continues on the successful path of recent years. In the last fiscal year FY23 (April 1, 2022 – March 31, 2023), the dealer channel accounted for about one-third of the incoming orders in new business.
Region North: Mengel Gabelstapler GmbH
Since its founding in 1973, Mengel Gabelstapler GmbH has become a key player in the Hanover region and beyond for the trade, rental, and maintenance of forklifts. The former Doosan authorized dealer constantly has up to 350 new, used, and attachment devices available on an area of approximately 7,000 m². The product portfolio of Mengel Gabelstapler includes all forklifts and warehouse technology from Toyota as well as Magni platforms.
Markus Mengel and his sister Annabell Krauß-Fichtl run the family business as managing partners in the second generation. “To serve our constantly growing and increasingly demanding customer base now and in the future, we sought a strategic partner and found it in Toyota Material Handling,” says Markus Mengel. “We are proud and happy to be part of the Toyota family!”
Region West: Trautmann Gabelstapler GmbH
As a former Doosan dealer, Trautmann Gabelstapler GmbH joined Toyota Material Handling as a product partner back in October 2022. In the Oberberg district, the Rheinisch-Bergischer district, and the Rhein-Sieg district, as well as the Cologne/Bonn region, the company has been one of the leading providers of forklifts and warehouse technology for over 40 years. Managing directors Michael Trautmann and Jörg Krämer have been leading the company since 2017. “With our headquarters in Nümbrecht and a branch in Lohmar, we ensure maximum customer proximity and an optimal service network in the region,” says Michael Trautmann.
“By switching to the world market leader Toyota Material Handling, we are now working with a partner that offers the complete product range in the area of counterbalance forklifts and warehouse technology,” says Jörg Krämer enthusiastically. “As a pioneer in hydrogen technology and with good performance in automated warehouse logistics, TMHDE is extremely well positioned for the future. We will benefit from this as an authorized dealer.”
Region South: Ziegler Gabelstapler GmbH
The history of the Augsburg company began 60 years ago as a sales representative and later as an authorized dealer for the Yale brand. Since then, Ziegler Gabelstapler GmbH has continuously evolved and in 2016 moved to a new company headquarters with a total area of 20,000 m² in the Augsburg freight transport center. In 2020, the company opened a rental station in Kösching and plans to establish another location in Munich in the medium term to cover the Upper Bavaria region.
“We are among the most modern and competent materials handling specialist companies in the Bavarian economic area,” reports Jürgen Ziegler. “Through the cooperation with Toyota Material Handling, entirely new horizons open up for us in terms of quality, driving comfort, and last but not least, service, allowing us to solve any individual logistics task for our customers.”
