Arvato Deploys More Robots from Nomagic in Dortmund
Jan 25, 2024 at 7:01 PMThe software company DAKOSY and airport operator Fraport have founded the joint venture allivate GmbH, in which both shareholders are equally involved with 50 percent. The core of the joint venture is the operation, establishment, and further development of Cargo Community Systems for air freight.
(Hamburg/Frankfurt) With this, the partners aim to further advance the digitization of air freight processes both at Frankfurt Airport and internationally. Martina Schikorr (Fraport) and Dirk Gladiator (DAKOSY) have been appointed as managing directors.
The goal of the merger is particularly to further develop the jointly established Cargo Community System FAIR@Link. The establishment of allivate is a strong commitment from Fraport to the cargo business. Schikorr sees this as a signal: “A functioning digital infrastructure is a must-have for any modern cargo hub. We want to offer our customers the best Cargo Community System to ensure their processes run smoothly, quickly, and easily. Over 1,000 involved companies now have the commitment of both DAKOSY and Fraport as reliable partners for digital infrastructure and with allivate a central contact person on site.”
Customers benefit from the synergies of the merger. Fraport brings its extensive airport expertise as well as its role as a neutral link to the local cargo community and authorities. DAKOSY has extensive IT expertise in freight handling and customs processing, as well as years of experience in the development, operation, and technical support of the Cargo Community System made in Germany. For Gladiator, the processes of air freight handling and digital infrastructure are inseparable: “We are combining our strengths, which allows us to bring innovations and digital solutions to market faster. The active role of the cargo community in Frankfurt plays an important role in this, as we develop all digital processes along the supply chain together.”
Digitization to the next level
At the Frankfurt location, the partners are already elevating digitization with the Cargo Community System and its comprehensive data base to the next level. Gladiator and Schikorr have identified three specific areas where processes can be further accelerated and optimized. Customs requirements are to be implemented even more comfortably, the digitization process for land-side delivery and pickup further explored, and e-commerce functionalities further automated.
