Profit Decline at DB Schenker Hits Deutsche Bahn Hard
Dec 7, 2023 at 9:07 PMRamborn and CFL multimodal, through its subsidiary CFL logistics, announce the signing of a long-term agreement that has been in place since early August. The international logistics expert based in Luxembourg provides warehousing, customs, and distribution services for the first Luxembourgish cider manufacturer.
(Luxembourg) “In my opinion, this partnership is a logical step for both sides. In our CFL freight activities, we continuously invest in the development of ecological solutions and work tirelessly to create sustainable supply chains for our partners. Both companies see it as part of their mission to implement solutions aimed at serving future generations. This shared mindset, which allows us to expand our impact together, was also one of the reasons why I was pleased to work with our new partner to develop a tailored solution.” Laurent Erhard, Managing Director of CFL logistics
As a certified B Corporation, Ramborn sought a like-minded partner to support the company in improving the sustainability of its supply chain. Both companies value tradition and use it as a foundation for developing innovative change for future generations: whether it’s reviving the long-forgotten tradition of cider production (the tradition of “Viez”), which uses otherwise wasted fruit; restoring old orchards to preserve biodiversity; or urging the transport industry to shift its cargo to the more sustainable rail transport whenever possible, both Ramborn and CFL multimodal are constantly striving to engage in profitable yet environmentally friendly and socially beneficial activities.
Collaboration as a true gain
“This collaboration will enable us to optimize our logistics and supply chain and ensure faster and more reliable delivery to our customers. We see CFL multimodal’s expertise in rail transport and the development of eco-friendly logistics solutions as a true asset for Ramborn’s future plans and challenges. We are convinced that this long-term partnership represents a win-win situation for both parties, and we look forward to driving positive changes in our sector and beyond together.” Carlo Hein, co-founder and chairman of Ramborn S.A.
