Sep 8, 2023 at 8:16 PMThe award, initiated for the first time by WirtschaftsWoche and supported by the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and Capgemini, honors innovative digital solutions that benefit not only traditional users but also society as a whole.
(Wolfsburg/Munich) The Digital Control Tower (DCT) developed by Schnellecke Logistics supports workflows through three main modules. In the process monitor, data from internal and partner systems is collected, structured, and merged into a digital twin of the value chain. Through data analysis, predictions can be made, trends identified, and decision proposals derived. The collaboration between customers, suppliers, and third parties in the supply chain is simplified by the DCT. Real-time transparency allows everyone to detect sources of disruption early and respond proactively.
The Digital Tower Has Several Advantages
“The DCT has several significant economic advantages. It provides operational results 70% faster and enables three times quicker error resolution. Increasing demands for a secure and reliable supply chain, as well as growing cost pressure, shape logistics. The DCT addresses these issues. For our potential customers, the DCT offers various opportunities to improve logistics processes,” says Karsten Keil, Vice President Group IT & Digitization.
