Aug 29, 2023 at 12:03 PMThe Swiss electromobility specialist Designwerk Technologies AG is further expanding northward. Designwerk now offers electric commercial vehicles in the Benelux countries. The portfolio includes the entire range of e-trucks from 18 to 50 tons with battery capacities between 375 and 1000 kilowatt-hours.
(Winterthur) According to a Forbes study from 2022, Luxembourg and the Netherlands rank among the top 10 most electric vehicle-friendly countries in the world. In particular, the well-developed charging infrastructure and road quality contribute to a high percentage of new electric vehicle registrations. Belgium also shows a high share of electric cars in sales.
“We see great market potential in the Benelux countries for Designwerk e-trucks due to the high level of technology combined with the positive social and political environment. One example: The Netherlands continuously invests in the energy transition, thereby accelerating market developments. The dense and publicly accessible network of charging stations is a result of these investments,” says Thomas Rücker, Head of e-truck Sales and Aftersales at Designwerk Technologies AG.
After a successful market entry in Germany in 2021, Designwerk is now expanding its team for the Benelux market. Sales and e-mobility expert Julian Rottier is driving the local expansion of the Winterthur-based electromobility specialist.
As in Switzerland and Germany, customers in the Benelux countries have access to the complete electric truck portfolio – from dump trucks to low-floor vehicles to heavy transporters. Customers can choose from 18 to 50 tons with battery capacities between 375 and 1000 kilowatt-hours.
Attractive Partner for Individual Technology Requirements
Thomas Rücker draws a positive initial conclusion: “As a specialist for tailored solutions, Designwerk is an attractive partner for customers with individual technology requirements. We are experiencing high demand for our solutions with the highest ranges due to the world’s largest battery capacities and expertise in complex superstructures and auxiliary drives.”
