Zufall Takes Over John Freight Forwarding from Eichenzell

The Friedrich Zufall GmbH & Co. KG freight forwarding company based in Göttingen takes over 100 percent of John GmbH in Eichenzell (Eastern Hesse) as of August 1, 2023. The John freight forwarding company will remain an independent entity at the location within the group. Thus, Zufall expands to eleven locations nationwide in Germany.

(Göttingen/Eichenzell) John Freight Forwarding GmbH specializes in transport services, distribution, procurement, and contract logistics. The company currently employs over 100 staff members. As a partner of CargoLine – one of the largest piece goods networks – John is connected nationwide in Germany.

“With John, we gain a logistics service provider that is strongly rooted in the region and has a high quality standard, which perfectly matches our corporate culture,” says Peter Müller-Kronberg, CEO of the ZUFALL logistics group.

The Same Foundation Sealed the Deal

Birgit Bergemann has been the owner of John Freight Forwarding GmbH since 2011. She talks about the decision for ZUFALL: “It was a big step for me to hand over the reins and place the responsibility in new hands. I have not only led the business but also feel a deep connection to the company and the people who work here. In close, partnership-based discussions, I decided on Peter Müller-Kronberg and the ZUFALL logistics group as the new owner of John Freight Forwarding.” Birgit Bergemann will remain as managing director in the company.

More Stability in the Fulda Region

“The service portfolio of John and its perfect location for transport companies at the Fulda motorway junction ideally strengthens our presence in Eastern Hesse,” says Peter Müller-Kronberg.

“With two locations in the region, we gain stability and position ourselves securely for the future. With positive effects for our customers,” says Marcus Scholz, product manager for land transport at the ZUFALL logistics group.
