Closed Freight Exchanges Are Popular at TIMOCOM
Jun 27, 2023 at 5:17 PMFrom July 1 to September 30, 2023, it’s once again: Every kilometer counts. For the fourth consecutive time, the initiative “Logistics in Motion” is calling on logistics-related companies across Germany to engage in sports and raise donations for the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation. In the past three years, approximately 195,000 kilometers have been covered and nearly 190,000 euros donated.
(Munich) In 2023, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation. The foundation supports young mourners up to 49 years old after the death of a partner, as well as children, teenagers, and young adults after the death of a parent or both parents. This year, however, “Logistics in Motion” has set a special goal: The donation funds will not only ensure the ongoing work of the foundation but also support the construction of the Star House.
“The Star House will be the new headquarters of the foundation starting in autumn 2023 and is intended to be a special place of hope for young mourners. A place where children, teenagers, and young adults can arrive during this difficult time and participate in various offerings,” says Karin Neumeier, who has been part of the board of the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation since August 2022. She adds: “It means a lot to us that ‘Logistics in Motion’ supports us in realizing our vision and is already committed for the fourth time to young mourners.”
Common Goal Strengthens Cohesion
“Logistics in Motion has become not only a heartfelt project for us but also a fantastic initiative to enhance interaction between the various locations. The common goal connects us and noticeably strengthens our cohesion. We are already looking forward to the start and hope to achieve a lot again as Logivest and as a logistics community,” says Kuno Neumeier, CEO of Logivest, which launched the initiative in 2020.
To generate as high a donation sum as possible, kilometers will be counted nationwide again starting July 1, 2023. Logistics-related companies and their employees will track their sports activities – whether running, cycling, swimming, or skating – any movement is allowed. Each company decides for itself how much it wants to reward the kilometers covered by its employees. All activities will be documented with photos or screenshots from pedometers or fitness apps and can be posted both internally and publicly using the hashtag #LogisticsInMotion.
To generate as much attention for the initiative as possible, Logivest will again provide its Instagram channel starting July 1 and will regularly post photos and updates from the participating companies.
So far, the following companies have confirmed their support for 2023: Baytree Logistics Properties LLP, fabrikon GmbH, Four Parx Holding GmbH, Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH, Headgate GmbH, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics SE & Co. KG, Loxxess AG, mainblick – Agency for Strategy and Communication GmbH, P3Logistic Parks GmbH, teamtosse GmbH, wilogs | wirz logistics, and of course, Logivest GmbH.
