Contargo Takes Over Trucking for Tchibo
Jun 8, 2023 at 5:42 PMFor over 30 years, ALS Customs Services has been operating internationally as a full-service customs broker. From now on, the customs experts will also offer their tailored international solutions for customs processes and services in Poland, including consulting services for importers and exporters.
(Weil am Rhein/Szczecin) ALS has opened its first office in Szczecin in northwestern Poland. This important transport hub at the Polish-German border features one of the largest port handling facilities in the country and the international airport Szczecin-Goleniów. Szczecin is also a significant academic center, with the University of Szczecin attracting students to the region, thereby securing access to young talent. The Polish transport and logistics infrastructure is rapidly developing, as reflected in the growing capacity of Polish seaports and airports. “The strategic location makes the country an optimal entry and exit point for goods coming into or leaving the EU. Therefore, it is a logical step for us to offer our solutions in Poland from now on,” says Alina Rusinek, Managing Director of ALS Customs Services Poland. Currently, the United Kingdom is the third-largest export market for the country and requires customs clearance following its exit from the European Union, making Poland an ideal destination for ALS’s expansion. The team also expects further growth in exports to Ukraine, which is also part of ALS’s development strategy.
“ALS Poland works closely with colleagues in the UK, France, Germany, and the Benelux countries. In all countries, we provide the same standard and quality of service to ensure smooth processing,” says Richard Revyn, CEO of the ALS Group. The services offered include general customs clearance services such as import, export, and transit declarations using IT products developed by ALS. To provide customers with comprehensive customs solutions, there are also dedicated consulting services.

Additionally, it is currently working on various simplifications for export and import procedures, which will be integrated into the portfolio by the end of 2023.
