Mar 8, 2023 at 5:00 AMThe Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport and the Logistics Initiative Bavaria are awarding the “Logistics | is Female” prize for the second time in 2023. Under the patronage of State Minister Christian Bernreiter, the prize honors logistics professionals for their courageous actions in the context of equal opportunities and the compatibility of work & family.
(Nuremberg) On International Women’s Day, the initiative “Logistics | is Female” celebrates its first anniversary. Together, the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport and the Logistics Initiative Bavaria aim to significantly strengthen the transport and logistics sector in the Free State of Bavaria regarding equal opportunities, workplace attractiveness, and development potential.
“The shortage of skilled workers in the transport & logistics sector is worsening. To convince more women of the opportunities in this industry, we initiated the “Logistics is Female” award in 2022 together with the Logistics Initiative Bavaria and the CNA e.V.,” explains Bavaria’s Transport Minister Christian Bernreiter. “Now our award is entering its second round. As patron, I look forward to many applications that will also make the high attractiveness of this very important sector for Bavaria visible.”
As chairwoman of the advisory board “Logistics | is Female” of the CNA e.V., Dr. Julia Boppert adds: “I hope that people and companies will reflect on what can be helpful to keep logistics as a field of work attractive. The initiative “Logistics | is Female” should provide a platform for people to engage in conversation and positively change something. And if we can provide them with inspiration for themselves, then we have already achieved a lot.”
For the “Logistics is Female” award, logistics professionals and companies can apply personally this year or propose suitable individuals such as companies. All details can be found at: www.logistik-ist-weiblich.de. Suggestions and nominations can be easily submitted via email: johannes.kraus@c-na.de.
