As CDO, Maróy will oversee and analyze the asset and freight data collected by Nexxiot’s Asset Intelligence technology.
(Zurich) Ákos Maróy has worked in software engineering at both Google and Meta and has experience as a Chief Technology Officer. In his previous roles, he focused on the application of AI in various fields. At Nexxiot, he will particularly address cloud-based SaaS architectures in B2B environments and a research and development-based approach – especially through machine learning and the use of artificial intelligence.
“It is an exciting time for our customers with the diverse opportunities for transforming their core business and the accompanying transformation of uncertainties into clear and actionable insights,” explains Maróy. “The fast-paced environment, the dynamic corporate culture, and the values-based approach of Nexxiot resonate well with me,” he is convinced.
With his extensive experience, Maróy aims to offer new services for clients in the railway, shipping, and logistics sectors. The previously often rigid boundaries between various sectors such as technology, media, aviation, and biotechnology will become more permeable in the future. Together with his team, he will collect, process, and further refine predictable data to improve logistics processes and minimize uncertainties in freight transport.
Proven Expertise in Platform Technologies
Stefan Kalmund, CEO of Nexxiot, emphasizes: “Ákos Maróy brings many years of professional experience, a proven expertise in cloud-based platform technologies, and in making data usable. His track record of successfully implementing ideas represents a significant step for Nexxiot in meeting the needs of our customers.”
