Jan 17, 2023 at 8:45 PMEffective January 1, 2023, VTG has expanded its offerings and now provides a complete portfolio of VTG solutions under the new company VTG Rail Logistics Baltics UAB. The management of the business has been entrusted to Violeta Vlasoviene, Managing Director of VTG Rail Logistics Baltics.
VTG Rail Logistics Baltics offers the full range of an internationally operating rail freight forwarder. By integrating the new location into the pan-European network, VTG provides optimally coordinated national and cross-border leasing and rail logistics services in the Baltics. Lithuania plays an important role in transit traffic to Scandinavia and the adjacent northern regions, offering VTG – in addition to access to the Baltic Sea region and the port cities of Klaipeda, Riga, and Tallinn (Muuga) – further attractive prospects. This presents great potential for multimodal transport, and VTG Rail Logistics Baltics will be active here with a comprehensive range of products and services, including equipment.
“VTG Rail Logistics has special expertise in rail transport and multimodal logistics and offers comprehensive services along the entire transport chain,” says Paweł Solich, Head of Region North-East at VTG Rail Europe. “Our r2L solution (‘roadrailLink’) increases the share of craneable semi-trailers from five to 95 percent in Europe. Trailers with refrigerated goods, liquids, and fuels can also benefit from this innovation.” Violeta Vlasoviene adds: “The ongoing Rail Baltica corridor project will connect five EU countries – Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and indirectly Finland. This opens up exciting new market opportunities for VTG. With our own local presence, we can now respond even better to customer needs in this promising market environment.”
