Annual Report Ennshafen 2022 – Strong & Future-Oriented
Jan 19, 2023 at 7:35 PMWith 2022, another exciting year for driveMybox has come to an end. Compared to the previous year, the Hamburg-based start-up has doubled its revenue and is still on a strong expansion course. With its market entry in Italy and the Netherlands, the digital booking platform for truck container transports is conquering the European logistics market and establishing itself as a brand outside of Germany.
(Hamburg) The logistics start-up driveMybox has continued its growth trajectory in the 2022 financial year, ensuring the high demand for container transports from both customers and service providers through the ambition and motivation of its employees. The company was founded in 2019 and positions itself as a digital booking platform for container transports. The platform targets clients as well as transport companies and self-driving truck drivers. The start-up’s goal is to minimize the complexity and prevailing lack of transparency in the container transport market with its “all-in-one solution from a single source.” The entire transport process is digitized, from rate inquiries to booking placement to cost settlement.
CTO and co-founder Dr. Leonard Heilig explains: “Our platform sets new digital standards in container logistics. We improve logistics processes through fully digitized and intuitive workflows. Our route planning uses intelligent AI methods to optimize empty runs, CO2 emissions, and capacities. The data analysis evaluates historical data to draw conclusions for further planning and adjust it if necessary. The functions of our platform can also be easily integrated into existing systems via an interface, allowing users to send price inquiries, manage bookings, and receive all status information without duplicate entries.”
In 2022, the start-up focused heavily on further developing the platform itself and scalability as an important step towards expanding the driveMybox brand into European markets. In addition to several new features of the platform itself, such as the newly developed quotation tool, through which prices can be directly queried, driveMybox and Krone Fleet officially announced their strategic partnership in 2022. The cooperation creates new synergies in the logistics industry by directly connecting demand for trailer equipment with supply. With this, driveMybox expanded its network and provides users of the platform with additional advantages through interface connections: The container chassis offered by Krone Fleet can be booked directly and used for container transports. Additionally, carriers who normally do not transport containers gain access to the Krone container chassis available in the pool and simultaneously receive access to transport orders. The offer has been successfully made available in Germany and is expected to be rolled out in further European markets in 2023.
Aaron Spandehra, co-founder and CBDO of driveMybox, emphasizes: “2022 was a very exciting and eventful year for us. In addition to ongoing platform adjustments, we were able to optimize the scarce truck resources as best as possible, activate additional capacities, and thus create suitable transport solutions for our customers. In 2023, we will focus on expanding into further regions and integrating our solution into our customers’ systems. By incorporating additional services, we aim to create an all-in-one solution for our users that resolves complexity and creates transparency. ”
Particularly regarding expansion, 2022 was a successful year for driveMybox. While the platform’s presence in Germany continues to grow significantly, driveMybox is now also active in European markets following its market entry in Italy and the Netherlands and is increasingly being utilized by customers such as shipping companies, intermodal firms, shippers, and freight forwarders in the international arena. Since the beginning of 2022, Italian and Dutch transports have also been booked through the German platform and vice versa. Further planned locations will strengthen and expand the start-up’s market presence in European countries in the coming months of this year.
Outlook 2022
Becoming the world’s leading container trucking platform – driveMybox will continue to grow significantly until early 2024, particularly in a sustainable manner. To continue growing internationally, driveMybox is focusing on the scalability of the platform in 2023 to support the brand’s presence in European markets. Additionally, the focus will be on sustainability, and collaboration in the form of partnerships and cooperations will be intensified. The start-up also plans to grow internally and expand its team. For driveMybox, 2023 will be an exciting and thrilling year with sustainable, innovative, and efficient approaches.
