GEODIS plans acquisition of express service provider trans-o-flex
Dec 20, 2022 at 5:15 PMThe NOSTA Group is setting up its e-commerce fulfillment on its own: With the spin-off of NOSTA eCommerce GmbH, the full-service logistics provider aims to strengthen and expand its services in the e-commerce sector. In addition to the previous warehouse solution for individual customers, the new company will also offer its own product solution. This is intended to enable customers with less specific process requirements and therefore shorter project durations to start their business. The official launch is on January 1, 2023, under the leadership of Benjamin Jansson as Chief Operating Officer.
(Osnabrück) “E-commerce is growing and is in constant flux. One must constantly reorient oneself. A few years ago, online marketplaces became important almost overnight, and now many retailers are also selling through social media channels,” says Nicolas Gallenkamp, owner of the NOSTA Group, highlighting the dynamically changing customer requirements for the fulfillment of online commerce. To be able to meet these requirements in the future and in full, the Osnabrück-based company is now pooling its resources.
The COO of the new NOSTA eCommerce GmbH, Benjamin Jansson, has a clear vision: “NOSTA has a wide range of services, has a good sense for emerging trends, and evolves in parallel with the market. Thus, we will in the future explore additional e-commerce services complementing warehousing and thereby offer our customers diverse solutions from a single source.” After all, an online retailer needs not only a high-performance e-commerce processing in the warehouse but also additional e-commerce services to manage their business comprehensively. The approach of an overarching omni-channel strategy with order processing across various sales channels is at the forefront.
Most recently, the 43-year-old managed all e-commerce activities as Head of eCommerce at NOSTA Logistics GmbH and introduced many innovations such as clear process documentation foundations, new communication and analysis tools, as well as concepts for the own NOSTA product solution. Previously, the trained banker and studied business economist was responsible for fulfillment at Arvato and later at Fiege.
