TIMOCOM and SCHUNCK cooperate on insurance offerings

TIMOCOM and the SCHUNCK GROUP have established a partnership for the insurance of goods. This allows all TIMOCOM customers to insure the transport of individual shipments with just a few clicks.

(Erkrath/Munich) Whether it’s loss, damage, or misdelivery – someone has to bear the financial losses that occur during transportation, including loading and any storage. However, the statutory liability of freight forwarders and carriers is often insufficient to secure the value of the goods. This is where cargo insurance comes into play. It is based on the actual value of the goods, even if this exceeds the statutory liability limit of the freight liability insurance. This way, insured parties are not left with the costs in the event of damage.

“With our new partner, the SCHUNCK GROUP, our customers can now easily insure individual loads. This is particularly interesting for smaller companies and those that do not have ongoing framework agreements with insurers,” said Gunnar Gburek, Head of Business Affairs at TIMOCOM.

Choice between four premium models

“Together with our partner TIMOCOM, we can quickly and fairly insure customers digitally. And at top conditions – TIMOCOM customers can choose between four premium models for goods valued up to €100,000,” said Thomas Wicke, Managing Director of the SCHUNCK GROUP. “We are particularly pleased that we can make insuring their transport as easy as possible for customers – with an interface to the TIMOCOM freight exchange, exactly where the demand arises.”
