Nov 22, 2022 at 12:58 PMThe TGW Logistics Group expands its robotics expertise and presents a comprehensive portfolio of mobile robots with “Quba.” The intelligent all-rounders take over the autonomous transport of containers, boxes, and pallets, covering a wide range of tasks: including supplying packaging or returns workstations as well as automatic palletizing and depalletizing stations.
(Marchtrenk) TGW views mobile robotics from a holistic perspective and provides answers to current challenges such as the increasingly difficult search for labor, rapidly changing consumer behavior, and the dynamic development of e-commerce through consistent automation of processes.
The Quba family includes AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) and AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles). An intelligent TGW software manages the fleet, controls the individual robots, and connects them with each other. “Mobile robots are a key technology for efficient, flexible, and future-proof intralogistics,” emphasizes Harald Schröpf, Chief Executive Officer of the TGW Logistics Group. “With the expansion of our offerings in the area of driverless transport systems, TGW provides a complete package for powerful door-to-door solutions that also allows seamless integration into existing systems – both on the software and mechatronic levels.”
SAFELOG and TGW Form Strategic Partnership
Recently, SAFELOG and TGW signed a strategic partnership, under which the two companies will work closely together. SAFELOG’s AGVs are already in use at numerous customers and have proven their reliability – whether in the automotive sector, mechanical engineering, production, or intralogistics. Users benefit from scalable automation, high availability, and short project times.
“We are very pleased to have gained TGW, one of the leading general contractors in intralogistics, as a partner,” emphasizes SAFELOG Managing Director Mathias Behounek. “This shows that mobile robots are no longer innovation projects but a proven technology for the mass market.” Harald Schröpf adds: “The partnership with SAFELOG, one of the leading AGV specialists, opens up new possibilities for mobile robotics in intralogistics. Our customers benefit from efficient, reliable, and powerful door-to-door solutions.”

Engelbert Strauss and Thermoplan Rely on Mobile Robots from TGW
In addition to the Swiss coffee machine manufacturer Thermoplan, workwear specialist Engelbert Strauss has already been convinced of the advantages of the Quba family. In the CI Factory in Schlüchtern, mobile robots have been supplying workstations with goods for over a year. For its new shipping logistics system in Biebergemünd, the fashion company once again relies on TGW technology: 26 Quba robots take over the independent transport of containers to the returns workstations.
