Swiss Federal Council Restructures the Future of Freight Transport
Nov 2, 2022 at 6:20 PMThe charity action Logistics in Motion has once again successfully called on companies from the logistics industry and their employees to get moving for a good cause this summer – marking the third consecutive year. From July 1 to September 30, the sports-minded logisticians covered nearly 77,000 kilometers, achieving a total donation amount of 70,000 euros, which will go 100% to the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation.
(Munich) The foundation offers targeted counseling and long-term support to young mourners nationwide. The donations will help support the foundation’s daily work and ensure grief counseling. The start of this year’s fundraising campaign was overshadowed by the death of the foundation’s founder, Martina Münch-Nicolaidis, who passed away on June 26, 2022, after a long illness.
“I am overwhelmed by the renewed commitment of the logistics industry. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those involved – both the employees and the companies. Their participation enables us to continue the work of the foundation founded by Martina Münch-Nicolaidis in 1998,” says Karin Neumeier, board member of the Nicolaidis YoungWings Foundation, who, together with her husband Kuno Neumeier, initiated Logistics in Motion.
Help is important, especially in these times
“Especially in these economically challenging times, it is important to offer crucial help to mourners through the foundation’s counseling,” believes Kuno Neumeier, CEO of Logivest. “That is why I am particularly proud of our industry this year, which has once again shown great commitment and willingness to donate.”
Twelve companies fought for success
A total of twelve companies joined the action in 2022 and either moved for the good cause or donated: In addition to Logivest and Logivisor.com, these included Baytree Deutschland GmbH, Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH, Headgate GmbH, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics SE & Co.
