As a manufacturer of agricultural technology, forestry, and construction machinery, John Deere relies on reliable and highly qualified partners. Since the establishment of the logistics center in Mannheim, Rhenus Automotive has won the “Achieving Excellence – Partner Level Status” award annually. This award represents the highest recognition that John Deere grants to suppliers and service providers. It stands for high product quality and particularly good customer service. At the same time, it acknowledges the supplier’s commitment to continuously improving its services.
Rhenus Automotive provides services for John Deere along the entire supply chain: In addition to warehousing, order picking, and sequencing of goods, as well as pre-assembly, the tasks of Rhenus Automotive in Mannheim also include the handling of returnable containers and spare parts management. At the John Deere branch in Mannheim, Rhenus additionally manages all incoming goods and customs clearance of the goods.
Assessment of Services Provided
To appoint service providers as partners, John Deere assesses the services provided within a fiscal year based on previously established criteria. The most important criteria are delivery reliability, innovative collaboration, loyalty, and appropriate pricing. Since Rhenus Automotive has received the award for the tenth consecutive time this year, John Deere honored the long-standing good services with the separate accolade “10 Years Hall of Fame – Achieving Excellence.” “We are very pleased to receive the highest award from John Deere for ten consecutive years. Being inducted into the Hall of Fame symbolizes the long-standing and, above all, partnership-based business relationship that connects us with John Deere,” said Thomas Bernhardt, Managing Director and COO of Rhenus Automotive.
