Oct 11, 2022 at 5:32 PMThe NOSTA Group is further developing its location in Duisburg. Under the leadership of the new Branch Manager Marc Brune, the branch on the Rhine will increasingly act as a hub for hazardous goods transport. To this end, the logistics service provider is enhancing both its services and its team on site.
(Osnabrück/Duisburg) With its own fleet and storage facilities, in addition to the existing capacities of partners, the connection of combined transport, and a consulting offer, the NOSTA Group will in the future represent its entire offering at the Duisburg branch.
“The Duisburg location is NOSTA’s competence center for the transport of dangerous goods and at the same time an international showcase for our company. By deepening the local offering, we want to position ourselves more broadly and provide our customers with comprehensive solutions,” says Christian Hammacher, COO of the NOSTA Group. The strategic development is being managed by Marc Brune. The trained transport specialist has been the new branch manager in Duisburg since June 1, 2022, and brings many years of experience in freight forwarding and contract logistics.
Untapped Synergies Await

Marc Brune
The 49-year-old sees a lot of potential in the North Rhine-Westphalian chemical transport hub: “There are still untapped synergies at the Duisburg location that we will leverage in the coming months.” The company’s own transport and storage activities are to be expanded by the end of the year. “By using NOSTA vehicles, we are responding to the tight capacities in the market and want to strengthen local transport further. However, our collaborations with partner freight forwarders and networks will remain an important part of our business.” New business areas will include transport consulting and combined transport. For the latter, the company acquired 30 new craneable trailers just last July. The logistics service provider is currently looking for qualified personnel.
Europe-wide Hazardous Goods Transport via Duisburg
Through the Duisburg location, NOSTA currently handles Europe-wide hazardous goods transport of classes 2 to 6, 8, and 9 as part loads, full loads, or piece goods via tarpaulin trucks. In addition, the corporate group offers value-added services ranging from kitting, packaging, and labeling to display construction and assembly, as well as testing and filling.
