Sep 27, 2022 at 4:45 PMAndreas Fritsch will lead and further develop Dachser’s German operations in the transport and storage of industrial goods as Managing Director European Logistics Germany starting January 1, 2023. The experienced General Manager (Branch Manager) of the logistics center Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Bad Salzuflen near Bielefeld takes over this responsibility from COO Road Logistics Alexander Tonn. Tonn has been leading the German business unit of the Business Line European Logistics since 2017, since his appointment to the Dachser Board in early 2021 in a dual role.
Andreas Fritsch (60) looks back on an exemplary career at Dachser as an experienced General Manager, spanning more than four decades and nearly all career levels. After completing his training as a freight forwarding merchant and taking his first career steps, the Frankfurter moved to Bielefeld in 1989 as a branch manager. Since then, he has developed the location into one of the largest and most successful in the European Dachser network. In recent years, Fritsch has also led the establishment of the branch in Kassel, which has completed Dachser’s European Logistics network in Germany since 2021. For over ten years, he has represented the interests of the decentralized operational units to the Dachser Board as the spokesperson for the branch managers.
As Managing Director European Logistics Germany, Andreas Fritsch will continue the long-standing, sustainable growth of the Business Line European Logistics in the German market while also anchoring and advancing key topics such as digitalization, climate protection, and talent acquisition within the business unit.
In his new position, Andreas Fritsch reports to COO Road Logistics, Alexander Tonn. Dachser’s 40 European Logistics branches in Germany handled approximately 30.7 million shipments weighing 15.0 million tons in 2021.
