Sep 12, 2022 at 7:40 PMJungheinrich is launching two new series of robust electric forklifts worldwide. The new EFG forklifts are cost-effective entry models for classic transport and stacking tasks between 1.6 and 3 tons. They combine functionality, efficiency, and an attractive price-performance ratio. The new models are suitable for occasional transport and storage tasks up to 6,500 mm lift height.
Jungheinrich is expanding its counterbalance forklift portfolio with two new EFG series in the entry-level segment. This allows the company to offer its customers, in addition to its well-known high-performance electric forklifts, basic models for light to medium operating conditions for the first time. The vehicles impress with performance, reliability, and durability at low acquisition costs. “With the EFG series BB and BC, we have achieved a new interpretation of quality that convinces through functionality, efficiency, and an attractive price-performance ratio,” says Jungheinrich Sales Board Member Christian Erlach. Designed for occasional use in single-shift operations, the forklifts are primarily aimed at customers who do not want to compromise on proven Jungheinrich quality even in the entry-level segment. “We are deliberately targeting small and medium-sized enterprises and their needs with our new EFG series: low acquisition costs, fast delivery times, and solid basic equipment,” says Erlach.
Diverse Entry Models
The forklifts of the EFG series BB and BC are available in three- and four-wheel versions and can be used with load capacities of up to 3 tons across various industries, including production, trade, warehousing, workshops, or agriculture. The model range covers the full spectrum of stacking and transport tasks. The agile three-wheel forklift EFG BB 216k, for example, is particularly suitable for flexible transport in confined warehouse environments due to its compact design. The four-wheel forklifts EFG BC are available in load capacity classes from 1.6 to 3.0 tons. In particular, the models EFG BC 325(k)/330, thanks to their 48-volt battery, are a cost-effective alternative to vehicles in the 80-volt segment and are also suitable for outdoor use. Three different mast types in numerous sizes and designs provide the right equipment for all standard applications up to 6,500 mm lift height. The mast and side shift are controlled purely hydraulically via mechanical control levers. The use of simple attachments with selected optional equipment is possible.
Strong Performance at Low Acquisition Costs
The forklifts of the EFG series BB and BC are manufactured at the Jungheinrich plant in Qingpu, China. The same quality standards apply to the production of these vehicles as for the performance series built in Germany. “Our customers receive Jungheinrich quality at an unbeatable price with the EFG series BB and BC forklifts,” says Erlach. As standard, the vehicles of the EFG series BB and BC are equipped with wet disc brakes. Thanks to their closed design, the brakes have a particularly high dirt insensitivity and thus guarantee high braking sensitivity with low maintenance effort. During braking, up to 30 percent of the energy is recovered, significantly increasing the service life of the vehicles per battery cycle. A dual-motor front-wheel drive with ZF transmission enables high performance with low consumption in every application.
Thoughtful Safety and Ergonomics
As standard, the EFG series BB and BC are equipped with the Jungheinrich safety system curveCONTROL, which automatically reduces the driving speed during cornering depending on the steering angle. This significantly reduces the risk of accidents during cornering, especially when working with heavy loads. Five different driving modes allow for safe operation tailored to each storage situation. An arched protective roof, compact mast profiles, and optimized chain and hose routing ensure full all-round visibility for safe operation. The standard equipment for the EFG series BB and BC includes the Jungheinrich corporate display in a 2-inch version. This provides the operator with information about battery status, remaining runtime, and selected driving modes, and additionally supplies selected safety notices as needed. For particularly ergonomic working, the Grammer seat MSG 65 is available as an option.
Safe Even After Purchase
Jungheinrich offers the electric forklifts of the BB and BC series for purchase as individual vehicles and as a fleet, as well as for rental. To ensure smooth operation at all times, the extensive portfolio of Jungheinrich forklift service is also available for vehicles in the entry-level segment, from which customers can choose maintenance and service packages tailored to their needs. Thanks to the comprehensive Jungheinrich service network, high availability of spare parts also applies to the electric forklifts of the BB and BC series.
