Sep 4, 2022 at 6:40 PMAs a leading rental company for truck trailers in the Scandinavian countries, PNO Rental has established itself in the German market. The company has been present in Germany since early 2021 – with its German headquarters in Hamburg and vehicle depots in Hamburg, Cologne, Ulm, and Dörpen. PNO is a family-owned business in its second generation, founded in Denmark. It is led by Jacob Lee Ørnstrand and his wife Solvej Lee Ørnstrand. Driven by the goal of leading the transition to sustainable freight transport, PNO supports transport companies and logistics providers in scaling their fleets – optimizing the use of their assets and reducing downtime.
(Hamburg) For several years, PNO has been heavily investing in the development of its own digital solutions to improve service flexibility, asset utilization, and customer experience. One example is the PNO Fleet Platform, designed to make fleet management simpler and more efficient, including TÜV and contract overview, damage processing, and more. PNO is presenting itself for the first time at the IAA Transportation in Hanover, from September 20 to 25, 2022: Stand R49, outdoor area in front of Hall 27.What does PNO offer to the German market? PNO offers flexible rental options on demand, with a trailer fleet that meets European specifications and fulfills 90 percent of transport requirements. PNO’s offerings include: – Flexible rental options on demand, from month to month or long-term – Maintenance, telematics, and insurance – included in a fixed monthly fee – Digitally enhanced rental solutions for a better and smarter service offering.Leading the transition to sustainable transport through better utilization “Every day, thousands of trailers in Europe sit empty in warehouses or travel with barely a quarter of their capacity across the continent,” says Wemal Kumar, PNO Country Manager Germany. “Thousands of tons of unnecessary carbon emissions and hundreds of millions of euros are wasted every year. That’s why we are tackling this problem head-on. Reducing waste and improving utilization accelerates the transition to sustainable freight. Higher utilization of each trailer, fewer empty kilometers, and reduced downtime lower emissions – and costs.” Another potential solution is trailer sharing. PNO plans to offer customers the opportunity to generate additional income by sharing their unused trailers within the PNO network. PNO is the largest certified so-called “B Corporation” in the Scandinavian countries and a member of the UN Global Compact. Photo: © PNO Rentals
