Toyota Strengthens Partnership with Gebrüder Weiss in Kazakhstan
Aug 11, 2022 at 5:08 PMThe Swiss InterRail Group is consistently expanding its international network: As of August 8, InterRail has launched an independent operational company in Turkey. The new company operates under the name InterRail Uluslararası Nakliyat ve Lojistik Hizmetler T.A.Ş. based in Istanbul. It is led by Enver Eser as Managing Director.
(St. Gallen/Istanbul) “We see great potential for InterRail to strengthen the trade lanes to and from China, Central Asia, as well as to and from Western Europe through our own Turkish company. In a further step, we want to develop the new InterRail location into a HUB, for example, for transports from North Africa to the aforementioned destinations,” said the Group Management of InterRail Holding AG.
Not least due to the pandemic and recurring issues on the EU-China route, there is an increased focus on new routes. Additionally, many producers are shifting their supply chains closer to their markets. InterRail is already handling numerous businesses that will benefit from having its own operational location in Turkey.
Proven Logistics Expert
With Enver Eser, a proven logistics expert has been recruited. He spent 20 years at DHL, where he managed numerous national and international logistics projects in various leadership positions, most recently focusing on rail logistics.
“Due to its geostrategically advantageous location between Asia and Europe, Turkey is one of the most important international transport hubs and serves not only as a bridge between East and West but also towards the North and South. I am very pleased to support InterRail in further solidifying its market position,” said Enver Eser.
