Rhenus on the Path to CO2-Neutral LCL Transport
Aug 4, 2022 at 6:34 PMDr. Malek Software GmbH is showcasing the further developed M3 Carrier Portal at the IAA Transportation commercial vehicle trade fair in Hanover (September 20 to 25). The cloud-based solution serves as a central data interface in the corporate design of the freight forwarder, compatible with any ERP or transport management system. With the new features, external partners such as clients and subcontractors, as well as the drivers themselves, are better integrated into the process chain.
(Dresden) For example, order data from the M3 Carrier Portal by Dr. Malek can be easily forwarded to subcontractors as a web link. Another highlight at the trade fair booth will be the electronic consignment note eCMR. It completes the fully digitized process chain between web-based order capture, processing, billing, and archiving. Dr. Malek Software is exhibiting in Hall 25 at Stand B50.
The M3 Carrier Portal has proven itself since 2020 and has been continuously improved and supplemented since then. In addition to capturing and tracking shipments or providing labels, clients can now also upload delivery notes to the platform, which are automatically linked to the corresponding order data. The same applies to delivery receipts, which can now be uploaded by drivers or subcontractors, significantly speeding up the billing process. Another innovation concerns the integration of data from the M3 Carrier Portal into the respective merchandise management system of the clients. Through a data link, shippers can retrieve the information relevant to them regarding the logistics process without having to log in to the platform.
Smartphone or Tablet
The electronic consignment note eCMR is based on long-proven solutions from Dr. Malek Software: In addition to the logistics software M3 Logisticware, the M3 App and M3 Webservices are utilized. The M3 App is used for the mobile capture of necessary signatures and remarks on the driver’s mobile device. This can be a smartphone or a tablet. The display now also shows a QR code, through which the eCMR from the cloud of the M3 Webservices can be downloaded with all captured signatures by simply scanning. With this innovation, Malek has created a pragmatic solution that allows transport companies and freight forwarders to save large amounts of paper, printing costs, administrative effort, and storage capacities in the archive with very little effort.
Comprehensive Solutions Along the Supply Chain
The eCMR and the M3 Carrier Portal complete the extensive software portfolio of Dr. Malek. The now approximately 30 modules of the software family “M3 Logisticware” stand for comprehensive solutions along the entire supply chain from shipper to recipient. The family-owned company, now in its second generation, offers transport management, forwarding, warehouse management, and telematics solutions for road freight transport from a single source. Own mapping software for dispatching and extensive online offerings such as WebOrder, WebTracing, or WebBooking for loading ramp management round off the company’s expertise.
Modular Software Architecture
Clients include transport companies, groupage forwarders, and shippers who have integrated M3 Logisticware completely into SAP in some cases. This is made possible by the modular software architecture and the individual customization of M3 Logisticware for each client.
