Jul 27, 2022 at 3:50 PMThe members of the Air Cargo Community have elected a new board. Henning Dieter, Head of Swissport Cargo Services Germany & Austria, will lead the committee for the next two years. The experienced air freight manager is well-versed in various fields of activity at Frankfurt Airport.
(Frankfurt) The board of the Air Cargo Community is starting its two-year term with a new chairman. Henning Dieter, Head of Swissport Cargo Services Germany & Austria, succeeds Patrik O. Tschirch, who did not run for re-election to the board and its chairmanship at the members’ meeting at the end of July.
Henning Dieter has been working in the logistics industry at Frankfurt Airport for decades. Before taking on his current position in September 2020, his career took him to Yusen Logistics, DHL Global Forwarding, and Aviapartner. Additionally, he contributed to Lufthansa Cargo in various leadership positions. He was also engaged for several years as the chairman of the air freight forwarding committee at the German Freight Forwarders and Logistics Association.
“Henning Dieter knows the needs of the various member groups within the community very well due to his background. I am convinced that he will succeed in uniting their interests. Our community can only benefit from his many years of experience in national association work,” says Managing Director Joachim von Winning.
His special thanks go to Patrik O. Tschirch, who has been involved in the board of the Air Cargo Community since its founding: “He has played a crucial role in the growth of our association into what it is today: an indispensable network of air freight professionals who tackle challenges collectively and find solutions that benefit all members.”
For Henning Dieter, this is his first term on the board, where he was elected as a representative of the air freight forwarders. Dr. Tobias Riege, Managing Director of Riege Software, who represents the other service providers, has been appointed as his deputy. His mandate has been renewed, as has that of Susanne Klingler-Werner, Director Freight Forwarding Central Europe at UPS Supply Chain Solutions. The manager brings in the positions of the forwarders. Michael Hoppe, Secretary General at Barig, is also re-engaging in the board. He represents the airlines.
The six-member committee also includes Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm, Board Member for Aviation and Infrastructure at Fraport, and Dietmar Focke, Board Member for Operations and Personnel at Lufthansa Cargo. They are sent to the board of the Air Cargo Community by their respective companies.
