Port of Kiel Welcomes Successful Visit of MS ARTANIA
Jul 24, 2022 at 9:45 PMAt the globally active Swiss logistics service provider M+R Spedag Group, Daniel Richner is stepping back from his active role as CEO and has nominated Boris Lukic as his successor effective immediately. During the first East Asia meeting in Bangkok after the Covid crisis, Lukic was introduced as the new CEO. After 21 years in operational responsibility, company owner Daniel Richner is stepping back to the chairmanship of the board.
(Muttenz) Boris Lukic joined the company as an apprentice in 1997 and has steadily climbed the career ladder, except for a brief engagement with a large corporation. He has obtained a master’s degree in international logistics management alongside his job, equipping him with all the skills needed to meet the demands of his challenging role. “Boris is a doer who can convince customers and motivate employees with great dynamism and incredible expertise,” describes him Daniel Richner. After the sale of the East Africa organization, which Boris Lukic successfully led in recent years, the way was cleared for him to also lead the East Asia organization with 1,400 employees and over 50 locations.
Dominik Richner Becomes Vice President of the Board
Dominik Richner is now serving as Vice President of the Board. He has taken on the task of leading the company into the digital age. As a young entrepreneur, he developed a customs software with his business partner that automates and makes the customs process more efficient using artificial intelligence. “Our solution WeDeclare is capable of independently handling a large part of the customs clearances. A success that we could hardly have hoped for after just two years,” describes Dominik Richner the latest product of the group.
Intensifying Digital Development
“The only sustainable strategy for a successful logistics company is to advance digital development in all its breadth, without neglecting the aspect of physical goods movement,” Boris Lukic is convinced. The interplay of all stakeholders along the entire supply chain is crucial; transparency and quick intervention will make the difference. And M+R Spedag, with Boris Lukic and Dominik Richner at the controls of the company group, is optimally positioned for this.
