World Premiere from ek robotics Combines the Best of Two Worlds
Jun 23, 2022 at 1:19 PMSpecifically designed for the freight forwarding, transport, and logistics industry, WAVES has developed the Sustainable Transport and Sustainable Tendering modules of its Sustainability Management Platform (SMP). WAVES has now had its calculation methodology and the underlying data in the SMP thoroughly reviewed by TÜV Rheinland and received the coveted certification.
(Luxembourg) Ensuring transparency and enabling more sustainability – this is the goal of the Sustainability Management Platform (SMP). WAVES customers who actively use the modular cloud platform for corporate sustainability management appreciate the high data quality, precise calculations, and detailed evaluations. They benefit from the convenient data upload as well as the clear, intuitively understandable dashboards. To provide even more security to customers and partners, WAVES has now had the SMP modules Sustainable Tendering – for shippers – and Sustainable Transport – for carriers – certified by an independent and neutral institution.
Reliability of Methods and Data
TÜV Rheinland has meticulously examined the reliability, transparency, relevance, and representativeness of the methods and data used in the two SMP modules. The compliance with the requirements of the GLEC Framework and the EN 16258 standard was also investigated – with positive results. “The reviewers conclude that the methodology developed by WAVES S.à r.l. for calculating logistics emissions in the Sustainability Management Platform (SMP) is scientifically sound, reflects the state of the art, and meets the requirements of the GLEC Framework and the EN 16258 standard,” the report states.
Recognized Quality Seal
After successfully completing the certification process, the SMP modules Sustainable Transport and Sustainable Tendering are now allowed to bear the renowned TÜV Rheinland seal of approval. “The TÜV certificate is an internationally recognized and acknowledged quality seal,” says WAVES CEO Armin Neises. “We are convinced that it further strengthens trust in our software and services and serves as an additional decision-making aid for potential new customers.”
Thanks to the TÜV certification, WAVES is now the independent, verified entity that ensures that the correct formulas and the most currently recognized methods are always applied for emission calculations. This enables companies to transparently and verifiably showcase their sustainability activities in climate protection. They can use this positively for communication and thereby simultaneously increase credibility with stakeholders such as investors, customers, or NGOs.
Compliance with Legal Requirements
On the other hand, they can trust that with WAVES, they are always on the safe side when it comes to compliance and adherence to legal requirements and regulations for climate protection – such as the CSRD or the EU taxonomy. The validity of the TÜV certificate from WAVES can be verified at www.certipedia.com. The TÜV Rheinland online certificate database provides detailed information about the certified services. The entry for WAVES can be found using the certificate ID, through the company search, or – very simply – by scanning the QR code next to the seal of approval.
