(Bremerhaven) With the sale of its Jumbo swap bodies sector, Würfel Holding is accelerating its strategic realignment towards contract logistics. “We will continue to invest in contract logistics and are pleased to have handed over our Jumbo swap bodies business to the high-performing Westfalia Intralog GmbH, whose philosophy aligns well with the values of Würfel Spedition,” emphasizes Karim Gebara, Managing Director of Würfel Holding. Westfalia Intralog is “a long-standing market companion with high quality standards, placing great importance on optimal support, further development, safety, and service. In this context, we know that ’employees and customers are in good hands.'”
Expansion of Contract Logistics
The logistics sector has been one of the fastest-growing business areas of Würfel Holding for several years. An increasing number of customers from industry and trade are discovering the advantages of outsourcing parts of their production and shipping processes to a flexible and customer-oriented logistics partner. The range of services covers all facets of logistics from large-volume goods to small just-in-sequence sets. The Würfel Group provides comprehensive services at 17 locations to optimize complex logistics chains.
In this area, Würfel has already made multi-million investments in additional warehouse properties in Bremen and Damme, despite the challenging procurement situation in the construction sector. Additionally, a new contract logistics project for the automotive industry is currently being planned in Cologne with 80 employees and approximately 10,000 square meters of warehouse space.
The portfolio ranges from procurement, production, and distribution to after-sales. In addition to the automotive industry, Würfel has extensive expertise in the areas of food, trade, and paper.
