The Economic Makers Celebrate Logistics Day with Poetry

The image initiative “The Economic Makers” celebrates today’s “Logistics Day” with poetry, demonstrating to the public in a memorable way that there is no day without logistics. A panel talk with experts from logistics and supply chain will also be organized today during lunchtime from 12:00 to 14:00.

(Bremen) On April 21, Logistics Day is celebrated by “The Economic Makers” with something special. Slam poet Lars Ruppel contributes a creative depiction of a world without logistics in verses, which will be shared as a video on social networks on the day itself. Ruppel previously wrote the Christmas poem for the initiative, which has been clicked and shared widely online. The poem aligns with the tone of the ongoing social media campaign of the initiative: No day without logistics.

The awareness of this fact is slowly growing in the public eye, as Economic Makers spokesperson Frauke Heistermann explains: “In times of crisis, what logistics actually accomplishes and how crucial it is for our daily lives becomes particularly visible to the public. In this sense, we continuously engage in important educational work, always seeking new, creative approaches to reach the public. The poem for Logistics Day is a building block of our communication strategy.” Numerous participants also support Logistics Day with their own events and actions.

Virtual Panel Talk During Lunchtime

For all interested parties, a logistics lunch will take place on April 21 from 12:00 to 14:00, which will be live-streamed. In addition to a panel talk with industry experts from Amazon and the Federal Association of Logistics (BVL) about the functions and opportunities in logistics, individual interviews will provide exciting insights from the world of logistics with Norbert Brandau, Regional Director Operations at Amazon Germany, Alexander Handschuh, spokesperson for the German Association of Cities and Municipalities (DStGB), Frauke Heistermann, and other experts.
