MSK Pharmalogistic in Panattoni Park Mannheim North

Panattoni, the industrial and logistics real estate company, announces the full rental of the Panattoni Park Mannheim North in Bensheim, Hesse, in the Bergstraße district, to MSK Pharmalogistic GmbH. The family-owned full-service pharmaceutical provider from Heppenheim in the Rhine-Main-Neckar metropolitan region offers its customers services in various business areas of the pharmaceutical industry.

(Hamburg/Mannheim) The company plans the new location as a GDP [Good Distribution Practice] and GMP [Good Manufacturing Practice] certified logistics center for the storage and handling of pharmaceuticals and medical products.

The new tenant will occupy approximately 10,577 m² of total usable space with a height of 10 m UKB in the new Panattoni Park. This includes approximately 9,300 m² of hall space, 570 m² of office and social space, and 510 m² of mezzanine space. The outdoor areas will provide space for 40 cars, 46 bicycles, and 2 trucks. In developing the new spaces, Panattoni focuses on a multifunctional construction method, making the property ideally suited for the pharmaceutical full-service provider.

Primarily, we will relocate and expand the temperature-sensitive distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical products to the new location to ensure and improve supply security for patients. Additionally, many new jobs will be created at the site, as we are not a classic logistics company, but a full-service provider that takes on many regulatory and administrative tasks for its clients. Attractive Macro Location in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region

The Panattoni Park Mannheim North in Bensheim is being developed in an already existing industrial area and boasts an attractive macro location in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. The nearby highways A5 and A67 can be reached in just a few minutes, providing ideal connections to the cities of Mannheim and Frankfurt. The City Airport Mannheim is also only 32 km away.

For the new industrial and logistics spaces, Panattoni is revitalizing a roughly 29,805 m² large brownfield site that previously served as a paper and goods warehouse. Demolition work on the existing buildings began in March 2022, with construction of the new building planned to start in July. Completion is scheduled for February 2023.

Diverse Measures in the Area of Sustainability

In the interest of sustainable and resource-saving development, the project developer aims for certification according to the DGNB Gold Standard during the construction of the building. In addition to using rainwater for watering plants, Panattoni plans to install a photovoltaic system for low-emission energy supply and extensive green roofing for the sprinkler center to bind greenhouse gases. A comprehensive number of e-charging stations for cars will address the mobility transition. Furthermore, as part of species protection measures, Panattoni will install nesting boxes for the niche-breeding house sparrow and redstart, as well as habitats for bats.
