Mar 28, 2022 at 6:00 PMWith the universal tractor unit Ford F-MAX 500, F-Trucks is conquering the German market as the general importer. The commercial vehicle specialist is actively advancing the necessary expansion of its dealer and service network. Meanwhile, the partner network includes 12 dealers and 22 service partners across the country.
(Crailsheim) The importance of trucks in German and international freight transport remains unbroken. Especially during the Corona pandemic, the road has once again proven to be a flexible transport route. With around 3.77 billion tons, 85 percent of German freight traffic takes place on German highways. Approximately 3.4 million light and heavy commercial vehicles are registered in Germany, with nearly 300,000 new registrations added in 2021 alone, including around 30,000 heavy tractor units with a permissible total weight of more than 16 tons.
While the Ford brand has been able to establish a solid third place in the light commercial vehicle sector in Germany, based on new registrations, behind Daimler and Volkswagen in recent years, the brand has not yet been represented in the segment of heavy tractor units.
The 500 hp tractor unit, equipped with a turbocharged 12.7 l diesel engine manufactured by Ford Otosan and a permissible total towing weight of 44 tons, was already chosen as Truck of the Year 2019 at the 67th International Motor Show IAA Commercial Vehicles and impresses with a combination of state-of-the-art technology, power, and efficiency.
General Importer F-Trucks in Crailsheim
As a general importer, F-Trucks Deutschland GmbH was founded in 2021 in Crailsheim, Baden-Württemberg. The long-standing experience in the areas of service and spare parts, as well as sales and trade of heavy commercial vehicles, has been utilized in recent months for the strategic expansion of the nationwide dealer and service network.
“We are working intensively on building a closely-knit partner network,” explains Holger Hahn, General Manager of Ford Trucks Germany. “We are relying on a combination of service partners and dealers.”
Ensuring Local Support
The partner network now includes 12 dealers and 22 service partners across the country. The company’s ambitious goals foresee an expansion to 50 locations for the current year.
“The expansion of our partner network is our highest priority,” emphasizes Holger Hahn. “This way, we want to specifically continue to grow our customer base and, on the one hand, ensure local support for both interested parties and users of the F-MAX 500.”
