Siemens Logistics offers state-of-the-art mail and parcel technology as well as advanced software for leading global logistics providers. With this acquisition, Körber significantly expands its supply chain offerings.
(Hamburg/Munich) As a leading provider in Europe with a strong market presence in North America and a foothold in the rapidly growing Chinese market, the mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics is ideally positioned for further growth. The company provides mail and parcel technology as well as fully automated solutions for digitized mail and parcel processing for leading global logistics companies. The mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics generates an annual revenue of approximately 500 million euros with around 1,200 employees.
The growth in e-commerce and changing consumer behavior are driving the demand for automation and digitization across the entire supply chain, particularly in parcel processing, as parcel volumes increase rapidly. At the same time, delivery requirements are rising, and there is pressure to further shorten transport times. The mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics addresses this with a range of products and solutions to support hubs and end-to-end network processes. The parcel automation market is expected to grow at double-digit rates annually in the coming years. The mail and parcel business of Siemens Logistics is ideally positioned to benefit from these global trends and the ongoing market growth, alongside Körber’s existing strong supply chain business.
