From January 20 to 23, 2022, Nebrigic triumphed at the Salzburg Exhibition Center against two other professional colleagues from the Austrian transport and logistics industry.
(Salzburg/Lauterach) As the newly crowned national champion of freight forwarders, the native of Vorarlberg has qualified for participation in the international competitions WorldSkills Shanghai 2022 and EuroSkills St. Petersburg 2023 with his victory. The young freight forwarder successfully completed his apprenticeship at the Gebrüder Weiss location in Wolfurt Air & Sea (Vorarlberg) in the autumn of 2021.
For the first time since the competition’s inception, top graduates from the profession of Freight Forwarding Specialist participated in the AustrianSkills. Alongside them, 96 young professionals from 32 trades – from electrical engineering to carpentry – competed for the title of national champion. They had to solve demanding tasks from their respective fields. The professional competition is supported by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), professional organizations, and the Austrian Federal Ministries for Digitalization and Economic Location as well as for Education, Science, and Research.
