Jan 13, 2022 at 7:10 PMAs a registered association promoting the transport logistics industry, Pro Fahrer-Image, under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), is particularly committed to increasing the appreciation of the driving profession and improving working conditions for driving personnel.
(Berlin) Additionally, the association aims to promote the training and qualification of professional drivers in goods and passenger transport, thereby contributing to the elimination of the driver shortage.
“There is no question: The future and competitiveness of the German transport and logistics industry depend, among other things, on how well we succeed today in attracting the next generation. We all must work together to show the youth these future opportunities and contribute to the fact that the transport industry receives more recognition,” explains Andreas Marquardt, President of the Federal Office for Goods Transport. The Federal Office intends to support the association in the future with its expertise in all matters of goods transport and logistics – especially when it comes to the topic of attracting new talent.

Prof. Dr. Dirk Engelhardt, Chairman of the PROFI support association and spokesperson for the Federal Association of Goods Transport, Logistics, and Waste Disposal (BGL) e.V.: “We are particularly pleased that the Federal Office for Goods Transport supports PROFI in achieving its goals with its expertise. For the first time, a government agency is actively engaged in promoting a better industry image and greater appreciation for our drivers.”
