(Bonn) The logistics startup Saloodo! has been awarded ISO certificates in four categories by Dekra. Customers and business partners of the digital freight platform now have independent proof that Saloodo! meets the highest standards in its business processes.
After an intensive and multi-week audit by industry-experienced experts from Dekra, Saloodo!, the digital freight platform, has received awards according to the ISO standard for various business areas.
Saloodo! meets the ISO standards 14001 and 50001. These two standards, recognized by the International Standard Organization, are awarded to companies that are particularly committed to sustainability.
ISO 14001 is the globally accepted and applied standard for environmental management. It sets requirements for an environmental management system that enables companies to improve their environmental performance, fulfill legal and other obligations, and achieve environmental goals.
Requirements for an Energy Management System
The goal of an energy management system according to ISO 50001 is the continuous improvement of energy performance. The standard describes the requirements for a company to establish, operate, and continuously optimize an energy management system.
Quality and customer satisfaction, as well as efficiency and responsiveness, are crucial factors for a company’s success in competition. By implementing a reliable quality management system, Saloodo! can better optimize the necessary processes and workflows and make the requirements for the organization and management more efficient. This is precisely why Saloodo! has been certified with ISO 9001. The certification demonstrates that Saloodo! has developed management systems to subject its products and services to a continuous improvement process. And this is primarily a good confirmation for customers that they have joined the right freight platform.
Meeting Social Responsibility
The ISO standard 45001, for which Saloodo! has also been certified, addresses occupational safety and health protection. It confirms that Saloodo! meets its social responsibility and is committed to demonstrably reducing the risk of injuries, accidents, and work-related illnesses among its employees.
“I am particularly proud of the ISO certificates in the area of sustainability, as this topic is very close to my heart. Being recognized as a logistics startup for good energy and environmental management is a challenge. At the same time, it officially confirms what I experience daily in the office regarding environmental awareness through our employees and what we are already implementing with many topics, such as the Green Carrier Certification,” says Dr. Antje Huber, CEO of Saloodo!.
More than 30,000 Shippers and 12,000 Carriers
Freshly awarded with four ISO certificates, Saloodo! is now set for further expansion. Five years after its founding, Saloodo! is already used by more than 30,000 shippers and over 12,000 transport companies. The startup is currently active in more than 50 countries across 4 continents and now also offers the possibility to handle transports to customs-relevant countries like Switzerland through Saloodo!. Recently, the company expanded its digital freight platform with a “Closed Shop” feature, allowing companies to offer their transport orders only to a closed user group of pre-selected transport service providers if desired.
